About the project
Bexar County Health Collaborative is a nonprofit organization serving Bexar County and surrounding communities. Our design reflects the vibrant and colorful spirit of San Antonio's Fiesta, celebrating the Hispanic heritage of the Alamo City. It provides information and updates on improving health outcomes for the community effort and required collaboration with all sectors.
Website Redesign & Information Architecture
I led a comprehensive overhaul of the website's structure and content strategy, beginning with the development of a clear navigation system and site map that organized existing programs, former projects, and related resources into an intuitive hierarchy. This restructuring transformed previously chaotic, hard-to-navigate pages into a streamlined experience. I rewrote and redesigned content to be engaging and accessible to users with different learning styles, which measurably boosted user engagement across the site.
To make complex concepts easier to grasp, I designed custom visualizations for key themes such as healthy living, financial stability, and joyful motherhood — translating abstract ideas into clear, digestible graphics while staying true to established brand standards and color guidelines. Beyond content and visual design, I optimized the platform for accessibility and cross-device performance, achieving WCAG compliance through improved color contrast schemes and enhanced screen reader compatibility, ensuring the site was usable and welcoming for all visitors regardless of ability or device.
